3.32Separator

The Separator entry was removed from the Layout group of the palette. It never drew anything of its own. To divide a page into sections, use the Shape and Line objects in the same group: they can be resized freely and coloured.

#When to use it

You cannot add a Separator any more. A project made with an older Configurator may still contain one. It is not drawn by the Veltnova client.

#What to use instead

• Line for a divider: set its length, thickness and colour.
• Shape for a coloured band or box behind a group of objects.
• A Static Text heading for a titled section.
• A Picture for artwork.

#Tips and common problems

• A Separator you cannot see in the Veltnova client: it is simply not drawn there. Delete it.
